Brother Rebhi Awad is the Chairman of the Board at The Islamic Academy of Alabama. He has served on IAA Board since the early 2000s.

Brother Awad studied at The University of Alabama and is retired from the Jefferson County Board of Education. He is married to Marie (Cissy). Together, they have three children, including Adam, Somar, and Ismail. He has seven grandchildren, including Ameer, Amelia, Ameen, Deena, Zaina, Judi, and Aya.
