Dear IAA Parents,
I would like to begin by welcoming all our IAA Parents to our upcoming new School Year 2019-2020!!
As the beginning of the school year approaches, I look forward to welcoming our new and returning IAA families, as we work together to create a healthy, encouraging and stimulating environment at The Islamic Academy of Alabama in partnership between the IAA Teachers, Administration, MPTO, Board, parents, and community.
Each year, The Islamic Academy of Alabama selects a character theme to teach, enforce and be modeled throughout the school year in hopes of adding quality to their developing character. In goals of further establishing communication between the students and teachers, the IAA Students were heartened to influence the selection of this year’s theme. Resulting in the theme to be “Taqwa”.
Please take note to the following dates;
- August 6th 2019: Orientation Day ; Join us Tuesday, August 7th from 2:00pm – 3:30pm, and meet the IAA teachers as they introduce you to their 2019-2020 school year teaching goals and curriculum.

Knowledge is identified in Islam as worship. The acquiring of knowledge is worship, reading the Quran and pondering upon it is worship, travelling to gain knowledge is worship. The practice of knowledge is connected with ethics and morality, with promoting virtue and combating vice, enjoining right and forbidding wrong.
The wonderful IAA School staff and I feel privileged to be a part of this school family. We thank you for your support and look forward to meeting you.
